Get To Know Me
Hello, please call me Mieke! I am a painter from south Louisiana. I graduated in spring 2022 from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelors degree in Art with a concentration in Painting.My artwork is done in mostly oil paint on raw surfaces such as canvas, wood, and panel. I practice in my studio when I am not at work, using color and value to create equations that I solve by painting. These “color problems” are fun, abstract compositions that have been featured in multiple shows, such as Under-Thoughts, the 2022 Juried Student Exhibition, and my capstone senior thesis exhibition Salvage the Quiet.Please consider supporting me in my creative ventures by checking out my website and the other links down below.

Before You Follow: I am working 30~ hrs a week and post sporadically. I use my social media to generate interest in my artwork, and while all of my content will be mostly family friendly, I prefer my followers to be 18+. Thank you!!
